Nakuru county staff have threatened to boycott work over unpaid salaries.
According to a letter, from the Kenya County Government Workers Union Nakuru, sent to the county’s secretary and received on August 2, workers are lamenting over unpaid July salaries.
“We wish to bring to your attention that the county employees salary for July 2016 has not been paid. This is against the Employment act,” the letter says.
The county government was given up to August 5 to pay the salaries.
“Failure to which the employees will assemble at your office on Monday August 8,” it added.
