Speaking at Kabazi on Sunday, the deputy governor said that young people can earn money if they take up farming.

The deputy governor noted that farming is lucrative and that youths should embrace it fully.

“I want to challenge Kabazi youths to take up agriculture as a form of employment instead of wasting time idling,” he said.

Ruto said that the county government will support young people willing to take up farming adding that programmes have been initiated to sensitise those interested on the benefits of farming.

Ruto urged youths in the area to apply for development funds and use it to start farming projects.
