Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui has promised that the county will help farmers in exporting their products to the markets to boost their earnings.

According to the governor, his administration will also seek markets for the farmers’ products in the East and Central Africa markets.

The governor said his government is committed to ensure carrot, avocado, plum, potato, milk and other production gives farmers more money.

“Residents should abandon subsistence farming and venture into high value export market. We will start a program to export the products for farmers for them to earn more from their production,” he stated.

Kinyanjui was speaking on Saturday at Nakuru Agriculture Show grounds when he met agricultural experts from the nine sub counties.
