Nakuru county has been lucky to get a share of President Uhuru Kenyatta's cabinet as he serves his second term in office.
Uhuru started rewarding Nakuru by appointing former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua as State House comptroller when he (Uhuru) availed part of his cabinet on January 5.
And when he named his full cabinet on January 26, though no one from Nakuru made it to the list of the President's men and women as a Cabinet Secretary, former Subukia MP Nelson Gaichuhie was appointed the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Treasury and Planning.
Chief Administrative Secretary is the 'backdoor' return of an assistant minister.
This might console the county which is the heart of the Jubilee coalition.President Kenyatta and his deputy have been touring the county during political times and confess that it is their 'political home' as it is where their first union as The National Alliance (TNA) and the Uited Republican Party (URP) took place.
