A Nakuru Girls High school candidate in the 2015 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) sent Majengo slum in Nyeri into a celebratory mood after posting impressive results.
Warda Noor scored an impressive A- in the just released KCSE results and is now headed to campus to study her dream course.
The bright girls’ good grades sent neighbors of the low-end slum into dance and songs as they shouted to the world that at least a good thing can come out of the iron shack slum. Warda was carried shoulder high by elated villagers.
“We are very happy; Warda despite all the hardships has made us proud. We want people to that even in slums we have bright children,” Halima Muthoni said.
Nakuru Girls is among schools in the county with impressive results.
Kabarak High school topped the county as it continued to dominate the list of best schools.
