The event saw participants prepare more than 10,000 chapatis for the school and prepare a feast as they shared with the less fortunate.

It attracted hundreds of participants.

“We came up with this initiative so that we could make the children smile even if its only for a day. However, it was a success since we have been able too feed the whole school and their teachers too,” said Ann Njeru, one of the organizers.

She added that they were touched when they first visited the school and hence were touched to lobby for donations for them.

Roman Kariuki, who founded the #ChapatiForum initiative seven years ago, said that the main aim of the initiative had been achieved as it was meant to unite the youth as well as preach peace.

“We can be able to cook and have fun in the process while we are touching the less fortunate,” he added.

It also had barbers who shaved the whole school and cobblers.

Among the main event was the training of the pupils to dance salsa and Rhumba

It was graced by various politicians, including Nakuru County Speaker Susan Kihika, Biashara ward MCA Micheal Kuria and Kiamunyi Chief Elijah Njoroge.

Among the aspirants in attendance were Bahati Aspirant Crispus Wathimba and Nakuru West Aspirant Victor Ngatia.
