Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at New Canan Camp in Pipeline Nakuru held prayers for the country citing signs of a possible return of violence.
On Tuesday June 7, the families that were displaced during the 2007/2008 post-election violence castigated the ongoing anti-IEBC demos saying they could plunge the country into anarchy.
They threatened to march to Nairobi on Friday should the Cord coalition fail to call off their street protests.
David Wanjohi, an IDP, pointed that they felt disrespected by a political class that continued to incite the public without considering the outcome of their acts.
The IDPs had also held a peaceful protest at the camp on Monday evening and said that they would use that opportunity to express their displeasure with the way the country was treating the issue.
“If the current situation is not tamed we might witness the chaos similar to those witnessed in 20007-2008,” he said.
Mr Wanjohi called on the Cord leaders to use the legally accepted means to push for changes in the IEBC instead of causing tension across the country.
