A list of County Executive Committee members presented by Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyajui to the county assembly for vetting has lit political fireworks.
Kinyajui has been accused of awarding Kikuyus and Kalenjins in the top county jobs.
Those opposing the list said the Luhyas, Luos and Kisii communities living in the county have been excluded.
"This county does not belong to Kikuyus and Kalenjins only. This is a cosmopolitan county where every community ought to have represented," David Oketch said.
Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama has also taken issue with the nominees threatening court action against the governor.
The governor has however downplayed the complaints saying there are more positions for Chief Officers among other slots which will be filled.
