Bars and alcohol selling premises in Nakuru will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday to allow workers to vote.
Already, bar owners have already notified patrons about the suspension of services.
“I have instructed all my workers to be away and ensure they go vote [at] their various stations,” said Mr George Kihara, a bar operator in Nakuru Town.
“Unlike the previous elections, we are not taking chances and we shall only sell alcohol after the elections,” he is quoted by Nation.
On Saturday, bars owners in Murang'a said they will allow their premises to operate half a day inorder to allow people to have an ample time of taking part in the Tuesday general polls.
