A section of Nakuru youths supporting Jubilee Party have raised concerns over the proposed party nominations list.
Addressing media in Nakuru led by Interim chair, Youth for Youths Joachim Njui, the youths who are Jubilee supporters questioned why the party decided to nominate a member who is not a resident of Nakuru while neglecting Nakuru Youths who fully support the party.
They gave the Jubilee party three days ultimatum to address the matter or else they take another political decision.
“We are not happy as young people in Nakuru who support Jubilee Party because we feel neglected when it comes to matters of the party like nomination. We are giving the party 3 days ultimatum to address our grievances because we are tired,” he said.
The youths questioned the criteria used to nominate individuals citing a scenario where a central origin person had been nominated to represent the minority in Nakuru County which is cosmopolitan.
“We have names of women who have been nominated as Youths but their IDs show they are above 35. As Nakuru youths we will not accept this,” he said.
