Led by Governor Lee Kinyanjui, his deputy Dr. Erick Korir, MP David Gikaria (Nakuru east) and county Jubilee chairman David Manyara vowed to support protests in solidarity with Jubilee.

The leaders called on protestors to exercise restraint and maintain peace while picketing adding that Opposition coalition Nasa was holding the country at ransom denying Kenyans the peaceful environment to do business.

According to the Nakuru leaders, repeat elections will be held as planned adding that if Nasa is not prepared to go to the polls, then President Uhuru Kenyatta should be sworn in to serve for a second term.

They condemned the Opposition for creating unnecessary tension in the country yet Kenyans were eager to carry on their duties normally.

The leaders spoke at a time when thousands of travelers along the northern corridor that passes through Nakuru remained stranded as the non violent protestors staged demonstrations and barricaded the main highway using stones.
