Nakuru leaders have hit out at the National Super alliance (NASA) over the prevailing political temperatures in the country.
Speaking during a memorial service for missing Lake Nakuru chopper crash victims, the leaders told NASA to respect the government of the day and stop 'political sideshows'.
"I want to tell the opposition that the election is over. They should accept it and shape up," Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika said.
MPs Kuria Kimani (Molo), David Gikaria (Nakuru Town East) and Samuel Arama of Nakuru Town West said the opposition is derailing development work by 'disturbing' president Uhuru Kenyatta.
"It does not matter whether you are young, old, rich or poor, man or woman. If you can lead this country let you be given a chance to lead," Kimani said.
Similar sentiments were made by Arama.
"We cannot spend all our lives in elections. We must move on now to work for Kenyans," he said.
The leaders were attending the ceremony to bid John Mapozi and Sam Gitau farewell.
The two were among victims of a chopper that crashed into Lake Nakuru on October 21 2017.
Bodies belonging to the two were never recovered.
