Addressing locals at Naivasha town on Friday, Governor Kinuthia Mbugua said unity of locals and leaders is needed for development.

Mbugua said development would not be realized if leaders and locals are not united.

The county boss said his government takes seriously matters touching on unity and peace saying that he is keen to promote unity in the county.

“We will not achieve anything if we are at with each other, we must therefore embrace and learn to coexist peacefully,” said Mbugua.

The former Administration Police Commandant further urged leaders to take time and work for the people. Mbugua said that service delivery should be the first goal of every leader who was elected by the electorate.

The Governor noted that locals are yearning for services and that leaders must address issues facing the people.

Governor Mbugua said his government is on track in terms of realizing development goals.

He said various projects are being implemented adding that locals have a right to know and demand for appropriate services.
