A Nakuru man was on Tuesday arraigned before a high court in Nakuru over the murder of his three-year-old son.

The dreadlocked man was charged with killing the minor on March 12.Hezekiel Njui, 31, was living with the boy after he separated with the mother.

Njui was arrested after he reportedly presented himself to a chief in Free Area where he confessed to having killed the boy.

He blamed evil spirits of leading him.

According to the police, the child was found dumped alongside a road in Maili Sita centre a few metres from where the suspect lived.

The deceased had been strangled and nails driven into his legs.
