Police in Bahati Nakuru County are holding a middle-aged man who allegedly killed his son at Maili Sita trading centre on Sunday night.
Ezekiel Kagiri Njui was arrested at Free Area trading centre after presenting himself to the assistant chief’s office.
He reportedly killed his son aged three by strangling him.
Free Area location chief Stephen Macharia said the suspect confessed to having killed his son.
He said the suspect said he was attacked by evil spirits after smoking bhang.
Detectives from Bahati traveled to Free Area and took the suspect to Bahati police station for questioning.
The chief called on members of the public to be extra careful and report those involved in drug peddling.
The suspect will be arraigned in court to answer murder charges.
