The public is yet to see the owner of the Solai dam that killed up to 46 people after it burst.
Efforts by the media to put a face to the story have been futile since no one is willing to release photos of the owner of the Patel Coffee Estate in Solai.
The tycoon is said to be a powerful man and has connections within Kenya's political circles.
As Kenyans asked who such a man could be looking like, the only Nakuru MCA who has photos of the rich man known as Manskul Patel asked for bribes to give them.
"Pay me if you want me to give you the photos," the MCA said.
He demanded a bribe of not less than Sh50, 000 for a single photo.
Not willing to break cannons of journalism by giving bribes to receive information, the media has been left unable to show the public who the Manskul Patel is.
