Kabazi MCA Dr.Peter Mbae has faulted a report in one of the local dailies that there is a fight between the County Assembly of Nakuru and the Executive over revenue allocation bill that is before the house.
Addressing media on Tuesday morning, Mbae refuted the report saying 'it does not reflect the true position'.
He said the Revenue Allocation Bill that will be tabled before the house on Tuesday, debated and approved will ensure service delivery to the people of Nakuru as it has increased the revenue allocation.
Dr.Mbae, who is a member of the Budget committee, said the bill had been passed by the house but was returned and the executive recommended some changes.
“We passed a bill on revenue allocation and sent it to the governor as per the law but he made some changes and recommendations to the bill and brought it back. The bill will be tabled and approved by Wednesday. I want to state that there is no fight between the county assembly and the executive and no one has said the governor will not ascend to the bill,” said Mbae.
The Kabazi MCA called on elected leaders in Nakuru to work closely in ensuring service delivery to the people.
“We were elected to ensure service delivery to the common citizens,” said Mbae.
