Yesterday's showdown in the National Assembly continues to draw criticism from Kenyans across the country, with Nakuru County MCA's terming the act as juvenile.
Led by the Nakuru County Majority Leader Waithuke Njane, the leaders have said that the National assembly ought to apologise to Kenyans for their disgraceful act.
"It was a very disgusting thing to ever happen in the Kenyan history. It was even beyond what the former councilors were known for, said Waithuke.
"It was demeaning and lack of respect to the authority of Parliament, which should be an orderly place since that is where laws are made not broken," he added.
Nominated MCA Esther Njeri said the act was childish, and urged leaders to act by example and not involve themselves in such acts.
"There was no maturity portrayed by the MPs. They stooped so low. We are past the era of such intolerance and they owe us an apology," said Njeri.
"They had all the time to agree on all contentious issues rather than treating us to such a drama," she added.
The MCA's were addressing journalists in Nakuru town on Thursday evening.
