Nakuru MCAs are demanding Sh100,000 Christmas token from the tax payers as they head for the festive season.
This was revealed as it emerged that a push to acquire Sh5 million loan without security had aborted.
The MCAs had pushed the county clerk and Speaker to have their car loan and morgage released without having security as directed by the Salaries and Renuration Commission.
According to the standard, a senior official at the county assembly said after failing to secure the Sh5 million unsecured loans for cars and houses, the MCAs have resorted to intimidating accounting officers and Speaker Joel Kairu.“They are even threatening to impeach the speaker if their demands are not met,” the source said.
