Nakuru MCAs on Thursday rejected a report that was tabled in the hoquse by the County Assembly Service Board on the nominees to the Assembly’s audit committee.
The rejection of the nominees comes after EACC faulted the MCAs for failing to constitute the audit committee as by the public finance management rules.
Among the nominees the county public service board recommended to be appointed as members of the board is Joseph Kimani, who is a director of audit and risk management at Technical University of Kenya and Daniel Sigilai, a former senior accountant at the Treasury.
The ward representatives walked out of the House instead of approving the report after the motion was read before them.
