The MCAs criticised the cancellation of police recruitment results that were conducted last month, accusing the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) of discrimination.

Led by county deputy speaker Samuel Tunoi, the MCAs denied claims of bribery at the Njoro and Bahati centres.

Tunoi observed that no statement was recorded on allegations of bribery at the two centres. He added that the cancellation of results was done in a ‘discriminating manner’.

“We will be joining parents of the successful candidates whose recruitment was cancelled in filing a petition in court,” said Tunoi.

Some parents in Njoro walked to the sub-county offices demanding answers on the cancellation of the exercise. The parents claimed that the recruitment was conducted fairly and there was no bribery.

The two centres were among several others countrywide whose results were cancelled by a multi-agency investigating team formed by NPSC to probe claims of bribery and irregularities in the exercise.
