A lobby group in Nakuru County has asked Members of County Assembly to reduce trips and workshops to boost service delivery.
Friends of Devolution chairman Benson Macharia said county residents want the ward representatives to play their oversight and legislative roles properly.
Macharia said the many trips by the MCAs will lead to underperformance.
“Most MCAs in the 55 wards may not perform well if the number of trips and workshops will not be reduced,” he said.
Macharia added that the MCAs have not tabled any development Bill in the House.
“The MCAs have not tabled any development Bill at the assembly months after they took oath of office. Locals want development and not trips,” he added.
He said the MCAs should not blame the political temperatures experienced in last year’s campaigns to underperform.
