Gikaria told them not to expect the governor to do their work at the ward level since they are the one entrusted with the ward development.

He lamented the poor performance of Nakuru County in a recent World Bank report.

The report indicated that only eight percent of the county income is used in development.

"You will be answerable to your electorates come 2017 and you will be expected to answer them. Failure to that you will be sent home," said Gikaria.

The MP said that the MCAs should ensure that the county government is on track.

"Contractors are afraid to work with our county government because they are not sure whether they will be paid; this is because MCAs are sleeping on their jobs," said Gikaria.

The MP has also rebuked the MCAs for ignoring the World Bank report.

"For one week they did nothing in the assembly saying they had no agenda. How do they lack an agenda when the County is performing so bad development wise," wondered Gikaria.
