Instances of crime perpetrators within Nakuru town fleeing without trace maybe something of the past if the county's female MCAs caucus move to have CCTV cameras mounted on major streets and roads succeeds.
According to the MCAs, the move follows several instances where crimes are committed within major towns but the perpetrators go without trace.
The leaders said they are in the process of drafting a bill that will see CCTV cameras mounted on major streets and roads.
Nominated MCA Joyce Anyiso said the move will help in ensuring that crime perpetrators are traced through the CCTV cameras and brought to book.
“As Nakuru women MCAs caucus we are in the process of coming up with bill that will see CCTV cameras mounted on our roads and major streets. This will help I tracing the perpetrators of criminal activities within the town and ensure justice,” she said.
