Speaking in Nakuru, several leaders held the opinion that the county has been a loyal Jubilee supporter and should therefore reap reward from President Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy's government.

Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria said the county was ranked third in giving Jubilee super numbers during the August 8 poll.

“In the just concluded elections, our county was rated third in giving Jubilee votes hence a reason for a reward. Our political significance should lead to greater fruits for the region,” said Gikaria.

Governor Lee Kinyajui during his campaigns also promised that if elected he would ensure the county is given a slot in Uhuruto's cabinet.

"In my tenure, we will have a minister from Nakuru. I must lobby and ensure we are given," He said during a gubernatorial debate at Molo Catholic church where he faced the then incumbent Kinuthia Mbugua.
