Nakuru Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) officials have clarified that Peter Ole Osono, a Nakuru based politician who shot at journalists last week is not Nakuru ODM chairman.The leaders led by County minority leader, Daniel Ambale confirmed that Ole Osono is not the party’s branch chairman.

Speaking to the press at Nakuru county offices yesterday, Ambale said that Mr Osono abandoned the party immediately after the 2013 general election.

He also said that Mr Osono has been inactive member and is no longer considered a member of ODM Nakuru branch.

“We want to distance ODM party from Mr Osono, his party membership expired when he became an inactive member immediately after 2013 polls,” said Ambale.

Mr Ambale now wants Mr Osono to carry his own cross and face the consequences in relation to Friday last week incident where he shot at journalists who had gone to his farm who find out whether a section of the road he had closed was open.

Mr Osono was caught on camera chasing journalists while shooting at the them an incident that has elicited sharp criticisms and condemnation across the divide.

“Mr oson should face the law and stop dragging ODM into the shooting saga,” said Ambale.

The Nakuru based politician has been disarmed with information that he could lose his gun ownership license following the ugly incident.
