A 67 year-old pastor was on Saturday morning locked out of his church in Bahati constituency, Nakuru County for church funds embezzlement.
Pastor Julius Maina of Mordern believers church could not believe his eyes when irate members of the church blocked him from entering the church compound at around 10am.
They accused the church pastor for misusing the church funds to fund his personal projects, further accusing him for luck of respect to the congregation and vowed not to allow him in the church if he is not ready to change.
They claim that the pastor has embezzled over Sh250,000 hampering the church development.
Njoroge Mungai a member of the church, said the pastor has no respect for the congregation, there fore not fit for the task, further adding that they should sue him since that is a crime.
“The man should be taken to court and charged for misusing the office, this cash was meant to do church developments but he took them for his personal issues,” said Mungai.
He further said they will not allow the pastor in the church under any circumstances, and he should forget about the church.
Michael Kiprop, the church elder also accused the man of God for enriching himself as the church continues collapsing.
“He used church funds to buy a plot in Mile Sita and now he is enjoying the fruits of his dirty job,” said Kiprop.
