Police in Nakuru have launched a manhunt for a truck driver which is said to have caused the Wednesday evening crash that left five people dead.
The truck is said to have lost contol and rammed into other vehicles leading to an eight-vehicles crash.
Rift Valley Traffic Enforcement Officer Zero Arome on Thursday morning said police are looking for the driver to help them in investigations.
"We want him to help us in investigations," Arome said.
The accident took place at Migaa area along the Salgaa stretch which is notorious with fatal crashes.
The truck driver is reported to have vanished immediately after the accident.
Several people who sustained injuries were rushed to Nakuru County referral hospital.
