Nakuru County bagged goodies from Deputy President William Ruto's trip to the region over the weekend.

Ruto left several promises which will see development projects launched to benefit residents.

Governor Lee Kinyanjui was first to open Ruto's bag of goodies. He said that the national government promised to give Sh200m for revival of pyrethrum in Nakuru.

The region will also participate in the tree planting exercise spearheaded by the national government.

The DP also promised to address the following issues after consultation with Nakuru county leadership:

1) Rehabilitation of roads in the County, including one in Subukia that will connect three counties.

2) Caveat on issuance of title deeds to be lifted by the end of the year. Land's Ministry to come to Nakuru in a month to work with County's Ministry of lands to do survey for those with allotment letters get titles.

3) National government to give Sh90 million for construction of a Technical Training College in Njoro. 

4) Construction of a big tank in Njoro to supply water to the area including Lare. A dam to be constructed in Nessuit.

5) Farmers to benefit from subsidized fertilizer, a bag to cost Sh1,500.
