Faraja Cancer support group, Africa cancer foundation and Nakumatt supermarket have partnered for a free cancer screening exercise to be held at the Nakuru Hospice on February 26 and 27th from 8am-4pm.
The theme of the two-day event is Awareness fights Cancer, with the slogan being let’s fight this battle together.
Already news of the event is trending on social media with the hashtag, #NakumattCares #ThanksgivingThursday going viral emphasizing on early detection as a means of increasing chances of survival.
This has come at a time when Nakuru County will on Saturday hold a Beyond Zero pre-marathon in preparation for the one organised by the First lady Margaret Kenyatta on March 6.
Both share a common goal of making a difference in the lives of Kenyan mothers and children.
