Nakuru County residents are impressed with the county government for the development projects that the government is running in the area.
They have further said the government has shown commitment in its work by improving the area infrastructure both in the town and its environs.
Speaking to our reporter on Saturday in Nakuru, the residents are lauding the development projects that are currently ongoing, saying they hope for a bright future.
Moses Onyango, a resident in Shaurri yako said they have started seeing the fruits of devolution, though at a slow pace, adding that there is improved security in some areas like Shauri yako and Kaloleni as a result of the installed lighting system in the area.
Onyango added that for the first time in a long time, there are road repairs going on in the area, with more lighting in interior areas to curb insecurity.
"Remote places like Manyani and Kisulisuli now have good lighting, these areas were very dangerous, but since the lighting was installed, the area is safe,” said Onyango.
Jane Mbogo, another area resident from Manyani and a business woman said they will back Governor Kinuthia’s administration, adding that it has done a commendable job, especially with the lighting in the area as now they can run their businesses unitl late.
"You can now operate up to as late as 10pm and go home peacefully and safely, it is not like a while back when you could not walk in some areas past 8pm due to insecurity, said Mbogo.
Manyani area is among the less developed areas in Nakuru, and most notorious with criminal cases.
