As the county assembly of Nakuru prepares to debate a motion to impeach county Finance boss Joseph Kiuna, Nakuru residents seem divided over the matter.
The process initiated by the county assembly seems to be taking a political route and battle pitying the executive and the assembly.
Two political camps have emerged over the matter with each camp defending the side they support.
Supporters of Governor Lee Kinyanjui are opposed to the impeachment and are accusing the assembly of witch-hunting the executive.
“The assembly should allow the Finance executive to work and stop witch-hunting him,” said Simon Nasieku.
On the other hand supporters of Speaker Joel Kairu are supporting the impeachment motion saying the Financé boss should pay for his mistakes.
“The finance executive failed to submit the required documents to the assembly and he must take responsibility,” said Anne Mwithaga.
