The residents thronged Nakuru's Kenyatta Avenue while holding placards and chanting anti-Ngunjiri slogans following his recent remarks that a certain community be chased away from the county.

Led by a section of aspiring politicians and human rights activists, the residents drawn from various tribes accused the Member of Parliament and asked him to restrict himself to constituency politics only.

“Kimani Ngunjiri is not the 41 tribes' spokesperson to lecture the (community name) in this country. We want him to be accountable of his malicious incitements," said Jackson Okata, a Nakuru activist.

This comes after Ngunjiri's sentiments went viral on social media where a hashtag #ArrestKimaniNgunjiri trended on Twitter.

They told off the first-time MP and asked him to keep of from the national politics and unstead focus on Bahati Constituency.
