The recent circulation of hate leaflets targeting a certain community from Nakuru town should put Nakuru residents and leaders on high alert.
Nakuru county was one of the most hit by 2007/08 post-election skirmishes following the hotly contested presidential poll.
The chaos left several dead and thousands of others displaced from their homes.
The effects of that chaos are still felt today in regions such as Kaptembwa, Naivasha, Molo, Mau-Narok among others.
No doubt that tremendous peace has been achieved since the chaos, but it is such leaflets that will render these efforts fruitless.
Leaders and residents in Nakuru must, therefore, condemn those behind such criminal activities.
They must demand culprits be brought to book. Leaders and residents must wake up and say NO to such attempts.
