Under the Nakuru Peoples Accountability Forum (NAPAF), the residents are planning to use the peaceful demonstration to present a petition to the governor asking him to respect the resolutions of the county assembly.

One of the organisers of the procession, Hezron Manyara, said they will use the procession to air their grievances to the governor.

Speaking during an interview, Manyara said the county assembly members are the peoples representative and their decision should be taken as that of the people.

"The report that recommended the sacking of Motari was passed and adopted two weeks ago but up to now the governor is yet to implement the recommendations of the report,"said Manyara.

"The people of Nakuru do not have any problem with Mbugua but we have a problem with Motari who the assembly said should go home after he was found to have been part of a cartel that hired people irregularly,"he added.

"Two weeks have passed and he has not sacked Motari and that is why as a people we want to go and make our voices heard,"said Manyara.

On his part NAPAF Chairman Simon Ole Nasieku said though they support the removal of Motari, there are other recommendations of the ad hoc committee report which should not be implemented as recommended by the county assembly.

He cited the case of Victor Ndereba who was found to have illegally recruited 36 lands officers but the ad hoc committee recommended his reinstatement.

"As the Nakuru Peoples Accountability Forum, we call for extra caution in the implementation of the report. We fully support Motari removal from office but we also object the reinstatement of Victor Ndereba who was found to have illegally hired 36 land officers because by doing so that will be an illegality,"said Nasieku.
