A school in Gilgil has moved to Nakuru court seeking to compel Ministry of Education releases withheld 2017 KCsE results.
Koelel High School management board and two parents have gone to court to challenge the withholding of last year's Form Four exam results.
The school wants the court to order the release of the results of 318 candidates, together with the markers' report.
Through lawyer Kipkoech Ng’etich, the board and parents have named Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, Nakuru County Education Director Nyang’au Atebe and the Attorney General as respondents.
“We are also asking Dr Matiang’i and the County Director of Education to be restrained from interfering, dealing and/or oppressing operations of the school,” Mr Ng'etich told The Standard yesterday.
Ng'etich said the future of the 318 students was at stake and the matter should be heard expeditiously.
