It has now been revealed that the Nakuru County Slaughterhouse situated within Biashara Ward lacks rollers and guns which are paramount to the operation despite renovation done by the county Government of Nakuru.

Butchers have raised an alarm over lack of the tools saying it makes work difficult and want addressed.

Biashara Ward MCA Stephen Kuria said the issue will be addressed. 

“Yes indeed we have a problem since the slaughterhouse lacks what the butchers call rollers and gun but I have already talked to the concern person and they will be supplied to enable smooth run” he said.

The refurbished Nakuru county slaughterhouse processes 150 to 200 cattle a day, 300 chicken and 50 sheep and goats.
