Small enterprise managers in Nakuru have been urged to apply internet based business management information in managing their businesses projects.
Microsoft Country representative Stanly Wokabi said this on Tuesday, when he addressed participants during a Nakuru Small Enterprises Forum that was held at Snow Park Hotel in Section 58, Nakuru town.
Wokabi noted that many upcoming entrepreneurs in the country fail to develop comprehensive long term business goals due to lack of adequate exposure to planning management knowledge.
“The current aggressive digital technology is increasingly opening new opportunities for small entrepreneurs to develop skills on sound and sustainable business management skills. Microsoft has developed various software and portals that provides in-house training and information to young managers on; financing, accounting, planning, marketing and human resource management skills,” he said. “We should shift from human resource based drives to rather mechanical based knowledge management because of the modern trends that are even more diverse and promising,” added Wokabi.
He further told the forum that the software guru had specifically developed business research portals like ‘Biz 4 Afrika’ to suit the business and economic environments of African young entrepreneurs, and advised them to consider applying such internet based resources for their business research information needs.
