Under the 'Wamama na Jubilee’ movement, the group opposed the appointment of the Nakuru County speaker accusing her of being unpopular.

Speaking in Naivasha on Wednesday during the group's meeting, chairperson Esther Nyokabi said  the speaker was an outsider in politics and could not deliver much.

"We shall be supporting one of our own but we won’t work with Kihika because she has no support at the grassroots level," Nyokabi was quoted by The Star.

Nyokabi, termed the recently nominated Jubilee campaign team unfit to lead and called for its total overhaul if the President is 'serious' to be reelected.

Similar sentiments had been echoed by Nakuru Jubilee coordinator James Karimi who said the President was misguided on the appointment of the County Speaker.

"She has no support at the grassroots because she doesn't understand political dynamics We wonder how she made it to the presidential campaign team," said Karimi.
