Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Susan Kihika has vowed to stay put and fight those plotting to bring her down.
Speaking to the press at the county offices on Saturday, Speaker Kihika said that she will not be moved by a section of county leaders whom she alleged are fighting her.
She said that her role as Nakuru Assembly Speaker is to unite leaders and not to cause rifts among them.
Kihika noted that her agenda is to ensure that the Assembly passes laws that will benefit common Mwananchi as a way of improving lives.
“I will not be intimidated by a section of leaders who are plotting to bring me down,” said Kihika.
She urged the county leaders to reason together and work towards achieving their goals of changing county residents lives and what brought them to power and leadership.
The Assembly Speaker appealed to the public to support her saying that she has their interests at heart adding that no kind of criticism will bring her down.
Kihika urged Nakuru MCAs to put their differences aside and use the remaining time to work for the people saying that cheap and petty politics will not solve big challenges and problems facing Nakuru locals.
The Speaker assured the county residents that the county government will always seek their views on key policy issues.
Kihika stated that the public have a right to be informed and engaged in activities taking place at the county government.
