The National Alliance (TNA) Nakuru County branch chairman Abdul Noor has accused Nakuru Senator James Mungai of showing little interest in resolving the stand-off among MCAs.
Noor says that Mungai has distanced himself when the county is being subjected to political wrangles by warring MCAs.
He said that Mungai should have been the first to bring normalcy to the fighting MCAs but he has done nothing to contain the situation.
“Mungai was supposed to be in the front line in striking a lasting solution between the warring MCAs but he has not,” said Noor.
Speaking on Friday in Nakuru town, Noor said that the political wrangles in the county are harming the growth of county.
“The county needs leaders to address the challenges facing the residents but not infighting. Our social institutions need urgent development to address the problems facing the residents,” said Noor.
Mungai has distanced himself from Tuesday's melee at Nakuru House Assembly saying that there are rules governing the running of the county assembly and he cannot impose his decision.
“The Nakuru County Assembly is governed by its rules and I cannot force my verdict on the embattled MCAs,” said Mungai.
Noor also called on the Ethnics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to probe the warring MCAs for graft.
He said that EACC must join hands in the fight against corruption being alleged among the warring MCAs.
