Nakuru County is among the counties represented at the Kenya Diaspora Investment and Trade Conference in Cape Town, South Africa with the aim of involving the Kenyan diaspora in national and county development.

The conference which was held on Friday aims at enabling investment, development and innovation opportunities from the diaspora. 

This is according to Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua through his facebook account on Saturday where he highlighted the key objectives of the conference.

"It's objective is to bring together members of the Kenyan diaspora, National/County governments officials, private sector, and students and share interests in the role and contribution, of the diaspora in Kenyans development," read part of the post.

The governor further stated that the counties' exhibitions during the conference aimed at updating the diaspora with information regarding their counties.

"The exhibition offers a chance to get up-to-date information from county governments, companies that are active in promoting different investment products and opportunities," the post further read.
