Nakuru traders want the National Assembly to investigate the relationship the governor has with the Mungiki sect.
The Chairman of the Nakuru Street Traders and Hawkers Association Simon Sankale Ole Nasieku claimed that Governor Kinuthia Mbugua used the Mungiki sect plus Administration Police to evict traders from the streets while also harassing them.
"We'd like the Governor to be summoned by the National Assembly to clarify the reason why he worked with the outlawed sect and used them to bring suffering to the hawkers," Ole Nasieku said.
Ole Nasieku said he wrote to the governor to explain his relationship with the sect but got no response.
Kinuthia Mbugua has since distanced himself from any links with the Mungiki sect saying that those alleging him to be a sympathiser of the sect are out to tarnish his name and that he is a leader of all the people.
