Nakuru West District Commissioner Elmi Shaffi has threatened to fire all lazy government officers in his district.

Shaffi said he will not tolerate and entertain any lazy officers who don't want to work and serve the people in his district.

Speaking Wednesday during the official opening of the new district, Shaffi said time is long gone when public officers used to come and simply sit in office without working.

“We have been having challenges and one of the biggest challenge is of laziness and correct that we will sent home any officer found to be lazy at work,” said Shaffi.

“As a new district we want to serve the people and all government officers in Nakuru West district must be ready to serve the people,” he said.
