A section of residents of Nakuru West have lauded police officers in the area for arresting a man suspected to be behind the gory killings of sex workers in the town.
Denis Gakuo, from Shabab estate praised the officers following reports that they had nabbed the suspect while ferrying an unconscious woman in his tuk tuk on Sunday morning.
"At least we can breath a sigh of relief because we were fearing that the killings could escalate to this side. However, I must commend the police for their relentless efforts to arrest the suspect,"he said.
Tom Ochieng from Kaptembwa expressed his joy following the arrest saying it would deter others from perpetrating beastly acts on women.
The suspect, Ashton Wachira, was arrested by police in Freehold estate while ferrying an unconscious woman believed to be his victim.
Nakuru OCPD Musa Kongoli confirmed the incident saying the suspect was arrested after police realised that his tuk tuk was wavy on the road.
