A witness stunned Nakuru court after she narrated how her boss gave her Sh1.2 million to hand over to hit men who had reportedly killed her boss’ husband.
Jane Nyambura, an employee of Kimsnet Limited which was owned by slain businessman Julius Kimani, said Kimani’s wife, Gladys Wambui told her to pick the moneya and hand it over to a Mr Alex.
Nyambura said Wambui opened the shop on the material day, December 1 2017, and left.
Later, she called and told her to pick a bundle of cash from her office and take it to a man who was waiting for the cash outside Equity bank at Gate House in Nakuru.
She picked the money and took it to the man.When she went back to the shop, she was shocked to learn their boss had been killed the previous night.
She was to later watch on TV the man he had handed the cash to as having been arrested in connection with the murder of the businessman.
The wife of Kimani is being tried for reportedly hiring hit men to murder her husband. She was charged alongside four other suspects.
She has denied the charge.The businessman was abducted at night while arriving home and later found killed and his body dumped at Manyani Estate.
The case will continue on June 16.
