Majority of youth within Nakuru County are excited with the entry of Engineer Victor Ngatia into the governorship race for the 2017 general elections.
Those interviewed expressed their satisfaction with Ngatia’s entry saying he represents the young generation and he is best suited to solve their problems.
Ngatia who had declared his intentions of vying for the Nakuru West parliamentary seat has since shifted his attention and focus to the governorship position.
Angela Muriuki from Lanet says that even though she doesn’t personally know Ngatia, she feels that being a young person he is better placed to solve the many problems facing young people in Nakuru County.
“I have never met him but I just feel I need to give him my vote and yes I will do it because he seems to understand our problems and he is better placed to address those problems,” said Angela.
Agnes Mwangi a street trader in Nakuru said Ngatia is a son of Nakuru, born and bred in the town and therefore he knows the problems facing Nakuru people and if elected he can bring change.
“Ngati is a young person just like me and he was born here with us and understands our problems and if we can all rally behind him am sure he will deliver if we elect him,” she said.
