A section of the youth in Nakuru have hailed the county government's initiative to refurbish the Nakuru Players Theatre.
Reacting to the Tuesday act by Governor Kinuthia Mbugua to officiate in the groundbreaking ceremony to revamp the hall, they said the move would help nurture talent in the county.
"The improved theatre will likely boost talents especially among the youth in the county," said Job Omino.
His sentiments were echoed by Christabel Ndungu who added that the refurbished theatre would once more bond youths in the area through various events and festivals.
However there are those who questioned the rationale behind the county's decision to refurbish the theatre saying they should have instead built a new one.
"What is the rationale of the county government allocating funds to refurbish a private-members theatre?" wondered Steve Biko.
