During her interview for the Chief Justice post, Nambuye said she would vigorously advocate against corruption which is a major problem at the Judiciary.

The judge cited an incident where a court official received Sh70,000 aimed at influencing her office to give a favorable ruling.

She said members of the public usually offer judges money in a bid to rule in their favour, adding that it is the duty of judicial officers to reject such offers.

Nambuye, who has served in the Judiciary for 38 years, said her main aim would be to improve service delivery in all parts of the country.
