Former Labour Party of Kenya Secretary General David Makali has labeled Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba a gun without ‘bullet’ moments after the two went separate ways.

Makali, a former TV pundit was ousted by LPK delegates after he reportedly pushed the party to support opposition NASA.

“I never knew until recently that Namwamba is a gun without bullet for Jubilee. He won’t add anything useful,” said Makali, in his latest jibe on Namwamba, who has since endorsed re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Makali, who also eyes Bungoma senatorial seat added in a tweet: “He had a predetermined mind to work with Jubilee and has nothing to deliver for them.”

Until his defection from Orange Democratic Movement, Namwamba was the party’s Secretary General, a position he likened with being a ‘General without a gun’.

And his defection to LPK precipitated a sensational move of his main rival Raphael Wanjala to ODM party.

Ababu would be remembered for being the first MP to swear allegiance in parliament to his mentor cum rival Raila Odinga in 2008.
